Thanks to John and Laurie for facilitating the one day sit yesterday. They did a great job creating and holding the space for us. And thanks to Peg again for turning the house over to us so generously. Lila
My page says I am a member of the Art group, but my picture doesn't show up as a member and I can't comment on the page. The page says to contact you with questions. I was wanting to put this information about something going on in Houston when the April field trip is scheduled.
dear Lila, I will contact you this way till I find the paper with your email on it. My daughters best information about low income housing is to deal with Foundation Communities and they have a website. That is a start anyway.
Dear Lila, Can we do another breakfast gathering this Friday? It is such a good chance to connect with people. Paulinna is fairly new and came last time. I would contact her if you want to get this started. You are the spark for these gatherings. Pauline is a very young widow who is very depressed and alone. Coming to Appamada is one of the things that she does where there is community and she is beginning to benefit from contacts she has made.Let me know if you can do it this Friday.Blessings,
Appamada is not just the occasional mindful thought or attentive state of mind, it’s actually a commitment to being attentive. It’s more than just a meditative state of mind, it’s more than just being mindful. It has to do with that primary ethical or moral orientation we have in life, with which we bring into being whatever activity we’re engaged in. Whether in formal meditation, in our interactions with other people, in our social concerns, or in our political choices, it’s the energetic cherishing of what we regard as good.
