Appamada Women's Group: ON HOLD!

Information

Appamada Women's Group: ON HOLD!

We need to find a new day & time for the women's group.  Some of us have conflicts on Saturdays, some are involved in several other groups/events at Appamada & can't do it all!

In January, we'll consider what to do.

Lisa

Description of our group:

The Women's Group meets monthly to share ideas, life events, and support each other in our Zen practice. Our topics range from poetry, interactive groups, art, or deepening listening skills.  It is an opportunity to explore issues that are uniquely related to women.

I was one of the ones who did not want to get over committed as various other offerings became priority.  As I'm learning that Sewing the Robe is a longer commitment than I originally imagined, I'm afraid that I'm still going to be a non-participant (especially if it were moved to Sunday), so I'd like to take myself out of the running for making a choice of days to meet.  At times like this, I find myself wishing there were "more of me" because I love meeting with all of you too.  Regretfully, I'm still a hold-out for meeting regularly.

My best to each of you and I look forward to connecting when and where we can at Appamada.

With warmest bows,

Jenny

Appamada is not just the occasional mindful thought or attentive state of mind, it’s actually a commitment to being attentive. It’s more than just a meditative state of mind, it’s more than just being mindful. It has to do with that primary ethical or moral orientation we have in life, with which we bring into being whatever activity we’re engaged in. Whether in formal meditation, in our interactions with other people, in our social concerns, or in our political choices, it’s the energetic cherishing of what we regard as good.
