Event Description

Teachers: Flint Sparks and Peg Syverson

This three-day intensive is an opportunity for us to come together to support each other in deepening our practice. We will begin Friday evening at 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Participants will be at Appamada for the whole day Saturday from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm and on Sunday from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. The intensive will include meditation, talks, work practice, three meals Saturday, one meal Sunday, and breaks. The cost is $250 and the deadline for registration is March 17.

The head student closing ceremony is scheduled following the intensive at 2:00 pm. The ceremony is open to the public so please join us to honor Rupesh if you are able to!

If you have any questions about the intensive, please check with Laurie Winnette at lwinnette@gmail.com.

Appamada is not just the occasional mindful thought or attentive state of mind, it’s actually a commitment to being attentive. It’s more than just a meditative state of mind, it’s more than just being mindful. It has to do with that primary ethical or moral orientation we have in life, with which we bring into being whatever activity we’re engaged in. Whether in formal meditation, in our interactions with other people, in our social concerns, or in our political choices, it’s the energetic cherishing of what we regard as good.
